Aalbers is a Barcelona-based trio making rhythmic meditations that reflect a pop sensibility made new by improvisational freedom and minimalist restraint.

As resident artists of Barcelona’s Fabra i Coats cultural center, the group developed a generative approach to composition that lays the groundwork for their first full-length release, “F”. Guitars that sound like keyboards, drums that don’t always keep rhythm and the self-propulsive ping-pong of modular synths guide you through a 30 minute downtempo trance.
