Following the release of the Salamanda’s album ashbalkum via Human Pitch earlier this year, soso tharpa, Yushh and Tristan Arp explore a new orbit in the album’s universe with a collection of snaking and scintillating reworks. Weaving a web between the album’s surrealistic overtones and playful club mutations, Washington’s DC’s soso tharpa and Bristol’s Yushh thread their individual takes on leftfield bass and organic opalescence through Salamanda’s dreamscapes alongside Human Pitch label cofounder Tristan Arp.

Salamanda’s spritely vocals flicker across the three tracks, taking new forms across aquatic environments and terrestrial landscapes. Connecting creators across continents, ashbalkum and its remixes mark the coalescence of dreamed realities and friendships sprung forth from the album’s imaginative origins.
